CSL CA Root Key Generation Ceremony

Computer Services Limited performed its Root Key Generation Ceremony and submitted the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to Controller of Certifying Authority (CCA) on August 16,2014 to step ahead to start it’s commercial operation.
Mr G. Fakhruddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Controller of the Certifying Authority (CCA), Mr Md. Tofazzal Hossain, Deputy Controller (ICT), Mr Ziauddin Ahmed, Assistant Controller, Mr Motashim Al Razi, Auditor, KPMG Bangladesh, Mr Lutfor Rahman, CIO, Airtel & B M Inam Lenin, Editor, Computer Bichitra, Mr Monirul Mowla, CEO Ark Power Limited were present on the occasion. Managing Director of Computer Services Limited Mr Momluk Sabir Ahmed along with Mr Sakil Islam, Head of ITES & XaaS with his team conducted the whole ceremony.
To materialize the vision 2021:Digital Bangladesh, one of the initiatives taken by the Government to achieve the vision has been the introduction of electronic signature and development of Public Key Infrastructure(PKI) in the country. Toward this, the Government has amended the ICT Act 2006 to appoint the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) in 2009.Government intend to introduce digital signature in the country to reach the following objectives: Paperless Government Correspondence(Email signing & encryption); e-Government, e-Procurement, e-Commerce, Electronic Document Signing, Internet Banking using digital signature & Device and Server Signing etc.
It is to be noted that Computer Services Limited was issued Certification Authority (CA) license by Controller of Certifying Authority (CCA) to issue the digital certificates among individuals & organization.
